One of the more creative ideas for supporting your favorite tourist railway comes from James Waite, who posts here on occasion. He has produced a photo book on the Talyllyn Railway, the first preserved railway in the UK . It is titled Talyllyn Railway - A Journey by Steam. It sells for £18.95 and the publisher makes a £5 contribution to the Talyllyn for each book sold. It's all color and hard bound with 120 pages. James says that 95% of the photos have never been published before.
I bought a couple extra copies, since the shipping charges for three was about the same as for one. If anyone would like a copy, PM me.
Later this year he will be doing another book on narrow gauge steam in the America's, covering Canada to Argentina. This is also as a benefit for the Talyllyn.
