IMHO Santa Fe is the prettiest city in the USA. We used to stay in Albuquerque and then take the Rail Runner up for the day. Even now I see it’s only $11 for an all-day pass, that covers all 6 “zones” on the line. And it’s only $8 for us old folks. Talk about a good deal - so essentially ride all day and/or enjoy a relatively scenic round trip. There was usually quite a few folks on it when we rode, and tough to get parking spaces after the “rush hour” crowd. Maybe that’s been addressed by now. IIR you can sit up front and watch the tracks ahead, but I never took photos to confirm this memory. Note... I see service is currently virus-suspended.

Lately we’ve been staying right in Santa Fe tho, so this March only went by the station and I didn’t see if there was any Santa Fe Southern equipment out back. Not much I think - anything on Google satellite was probably Rail Runner sets. Most SFS stuff I’ve seen is at Lamy.

Maybe someone more local can fill in the specifics.
