The NMRR uses the existing ROW until a point around 20 miles or so southwest of Santa Fe; A few miles after passing under Interstate 25 (heading east) the new NMRR ROW splits off to the north and makes its way back to the Interstate where it actually occupies the median between the opposing lanes of the Interstate. Eventually it cuts northeast and heads up into Santa Fe.
