Re: NNG - Santa Fe Southern just sold - news release

In 1997 Les Jarrett and I finished our 4th and final "America By Rail" video. This was called "Route of the Southwest Chief". In those series we did the mainline Amtrak train from Chicago to LA of course, and some side trips on other train rides. Of interest to you may be the Santa Fe Southern segment we did with shots of the train, and onboard, plus a segment on the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic. Also if you like Semaphores and mainline stuff, we captured a bunch of them in Colorado and New Mexico. I don't have a preview on my youtube site, but you can buy the DVD off our website if interested. They were running a GP9 when we were there. Got some classic shots with the old mission and the train, the station, etc. Neat place, and I wish them well in the future.
