I don't have any info on that other than if 497 went east on 9/14/96, she would have returned west the next day as engines did not lay over in Antonito. It was probably set up to have 497 make a round to trip to Antonito on the 14-15, then get a day in the shop on the 16th to do the Big Horn Turn on the 17th.
From 1991 onward, we kept a daily dispatcher's sheet of the days operations, along with a dispatcher (of some sort) on duty. The railroad was required to keep all these sheets on file for 5 years. I kept all of them in a file cabinet until I left in 1998. Where they ended up, I do not know. They should be given to the FOCTS to archive once they are over 5 years old. They would be a good source of this information. My timebooks only show what I was doing on any particular day
