1970s ride starting at Cumbres

As a teenager in the 1970s with grandparents living in Santa Fe I got the privilege of riding CATS on a few visits.
I recall one ride starting at Cumbres and going thorough the Toltec Gorge and returning.
I have not seen this routing discussed.
I seem to recall this routing being offered one day a week.
Was there ever such a routing and if so what were the specific details.
