The pedestals, journal boxes, platform railings, ladders, and grab irons have been sandblasted. New dust covers are being made for the journal boxes by volunteers Will Gant and Tim Homack.
The pedestals are mocked up to drill the mounting holes.
Chase Kepner drills the holes for the horizontal pedestal bolts. The mounting bolts will be longer than the center bolt shown here - we used what was on hand to check length.
Preston Linderman and Chase Kepner drilling holes for the vertical pedestal bolts, while Will Gant keeps on eye on the straightness of the drill bit.
Pedestal with it's first coat of paint.
