John, John, Chris, and all,
Thanks for posting the pictures. It really was good to see them again. Im really not quite as silly looking as I am in the pic with Earl and John & Danah. Some of that stuff is not my hair but part of a light pole. Oh well.
I need to apologise to Brian for the impression I left that he was responsible for the way the article came out. I should have remembered that even in what I have always called a "good ink" story your lucky if they (the media) spelled your name right and didn't say something totally egeregious about you. I had a long talk with him and know that he understands what work was done over the years.
Chris touched on my real concern, which is that the general public is left with the impression that no work has been done in the past 30 years, and that if money is infused now and good work done it wont have to be done again in the future.
All railroads, particularly mountain steam railroads are like leaky boats. You have to bail constantly to keep them afloat and the moment you stop bailing they start to sink FAST.
