I understand that the Reading RR had a line of 0-4-0 camelback switchers lined up along a major street an Philadelphia with a sign in front of them, "For Sale $500.00 Each". I wouldn't be surprised to learn that is where Colorado Fuel & Iron bought #1187, prior to its arrival in Strasburg.
