Well this is exciting to know. Sent me scrambling to my copy of the Canadian Trackside Guide but I could find no listing for it. So a couple questions - do you know which of the Lenora Mt Sicker Shays it was? Is that BC Dept of Railways listing on line, and are there any photos of the locomotive as it is today (or recent past). I looked up the satellite view of Hernando Island. It’s only about three miles square with nothing aside from a few cottages ringing it, but what looks like a possible ROW in the middle. Neat stuff.
