The photos where you can actually make out the track are aerial photos from an airplane, not a satellite (despite the button to see them being labelled "satellite"). The aerial imagery captures a lot less area at a time than satellite, so It takes a lot of passes to cover the country, and they don't get updated very often. Historically, Google used to get these images from government sources (probably largely USGS), which were updated periodically but not often. They may do it themselves now, but it still takes time. The latest views aren't all that old in that they show the track going all the way to the turntable. As of July 4, 2017 (less than wo years ago), the turntable wasn't in and we hadn't quite connected to the turntable pit, so the current aerials are newer than that. The aerial photos from my neighborhood are at least 3 years old as they show cars at a gas station that has been closed and barricaded well before the first time I visited the area almost three years ago, and a store under construction (parking lot still dirt) that was finished well before that visit.
As fast as Como is changing, there's no way the imagery will keep up.
