Yes, I took for granite everyone here knew it was Alamosa-Antonito, since its flat as a board, and that's where most of the double heading like this took place, near the highway. I should have put more info on the Youtube, but this was only for temporary use really. One guy stated he didn't know they had diesels on the C&TS doubleheading!!!
Maybe Jimmy Blouch can find something out on this. I wonder what happened in Antonito. Did they put one or the other midtrain, or did they stay like this, and split for the Cascade Creek trestle. I would surmise that the N3000 is the helper, and thus would be placed midtrain. That way the 486(A known quantity on these rails), was doing the upfront work. I think this is 1958 but not certain. Wish we had a date, cause then Jimmy might be able to put data with pictures. There are a few more scenes including pacing, then nothing after Antonito.
