I have a scene of this one I think in our "Rio Grande Vintage Steam" shot by Jim Holmes. It is turning the excursion train before it headed to Farmington with 493 I believe. I think it was 1958, and am thinking the clip with 486 was earlier that year. I guess I need to check my own dvd, cause the footage is no longer in the computer. More info on when the 3000 was used on the D&RGW, and a date should be possible to find on this one I would think. Thanks Jeff, and for any other info folks provide. I find it to be a very unusual move on the D&RGW.
