ALL hobbies are odd to the folk not into them, look at the way people like bird-watchers have been ridiculed over the years!

That said, both you and Dan have my respect for tackling such things. I've got enough trouble just keeping my modern things running and building the occasional table or bookcase! I can't imagine taking on, for example, something like my (very) late Grandmother's wringer washer and as for building a complete passenger car, awe is the only word.
