Dave,
Thanks for the kind words!
Appliances may be a little smaller but they can yield magnificent results. Rick Dale, who was televised on the History Channel in American Restorations, has restored a number of appliances. I have visited his shop here in Las Vegas several times and am duly impressed at his work. I could not imagine how beautiful a Coke machine from the 1940s or 50s could look when it has been restored. And to think at one time in my life I did not pay attention to those machines. Now they are wonderful antiques and working again. Rick also has done a lot of other projects, such as vehicles, of all sorts, signs, and a myriad of old dispensers. Restoring something is often more difficult than making something from scratch. That is because when restoring an item, you have to clean, fix and then restore the article first, before you get to assemble the part. It is double the work sometimes. So keep at it and remember in a lot of ways, restoring something is often a lot more difficult than just building one.
