Another sad part of this story that I heard is that the individual buying the locomotive also had to take the ex-NC Billmeyer & Small boxcar body. However, he did not have a trailer long enough to haul it intact. So that car got cut in half and moved that way.

No idea what then happened to the car body. Did we lost an 1870s car body?
