1988 trip to Narrow Gauge country - Part 5

The return trip took me across southern Utah to Las Vegas. Remembering that there were some old locomotives
next to a casino between Las Vegas and Hoover dam I made a little side trip. This 2-8-0 is now at the Nevada
State railroad museum in Boulder City.
This Porter 0-4-0T was sold off to an individual who restored the engine to operating condition. I have heard that
during the restoration the engine was regauged from 30" to 36"
The Shay shown here was on a hill across the road from the casino. Where is it today?
From Vegas I turned south west on I-15 and headed home. Hope you enjoyed the photos.
