Feedback, not a complaint

Last year i did the Fall Photography special on the D&S. I've ridden the D&S many times including trips in the Silver Vista and have always enjoyed myself. While I've done several excursions on the C&TS, this my first one on the D&S. Regarding last year's Fall trip, i have to say i was a little disappointed. The good: loved having a K-28, the water car in the consist, the hospitality of snacks and soft drinks were great, and i got some great photo's. The disappointment: in 2 days no photo opportunities at the high bridge. It seems like that could have been given a priority. Also, on the last day they seemed to rush us out ahead of the regularly scheduled train and we missed some photo ops. I felt like they could have let the regular train pass us and not do the big rush.

Granted, i don't know what was happening behind the scenes that led to these decisions, and again, i got some good pics of the train and fall color. But I sure wanted the high bridge. Given that, the railroad is a business and they need to make money. If fan excursions lose money, they can't be blamed for not doing them. However, i thought the photo trip could have been better. I should have done it back when Yvonne was running them! I was a year too late. Anyway, just my 2 cents.
