I'm currently writing a 2-part column on amuseument park steam (the "real" stuff, not miniatures or Crowns) that will run in the Dec. 03 and Jan. 04 issues of Railfan & Railroad. The biggest problem thus far has been getting suitable photographs to use. I have slides of Knott's, but they are now almost ten years old. I've contacted the Knott's folks but they don't have any good shots of their trains (strange). If anyone can supply photos, you will of course get paid for whatever is printed and also get your name on the photo credit. I'm looking for:
Nice side photo of No. 41 at Knott's taken within the last few years. I'd like to show how good the engine looks now that it's back to RGS.
Any current photo of a locomtoive at Cedar Point. Their PR department supplied a slide, but it is of the Maude L. that is now at Disneyland. I'd like to run a photo of something they have in service. (Does anyone know how they are coming along on the engine they acquired from Disneyworld?)
A photo of either steamer at Six Flags over Texas. I have yet to hear back from their media department.
Thanks for any help you can give!
