Well, to tell you the truth, I love Crowns. I spent many afternoons at the Lagoon Amuseument Park in Farmington, Utah photographing their three 24" gauge Crowns in service, and also those at Williamsburg. However, since my column is geared mostly towards preservation, I've had to narrow my focus to the theme parks that run steam locomotives that were built by Baldwin, Alco, etc.., and have been restored for tourist service. Crowns are certainly real steam locomotives, they just don't fit in with what I'm writing about.
