Jeff,
Mentioning the Huckleberry Railroad and reading Marty Knox's posts piqued my interest. I don't recall very much press coverage of the Huckleberry. Except for a few occasional picts, nothing much has been printed that I recall. I visited Huckleberry in search of ex-D&RGW K-27 #464 a number of years ago and was there during one of Jim Boyd's visits. As Jim noted to Marty, it IS a real railroad. It is quite a gem of preservation steam and deserves more coverage than it gets. I got some great shots of 464 thanks to the late afternoon sun, great stack action, good planning by the railroad folks, and some judicious photo line "management" by Mr. Boyd during one of their railfan weekends. And talk about sympathetic to railfans, the Huckleberry folks are right up there with the best. When the 464 is running again I plan to make a visit to Flint again to see her.
So how about some coverage of the Huckleberry RR sometime soon? Like some of Jim Boyd's photos, a track plan/layout, shop photos, maybe?
