If you stand in the Sublette yard, and look up to the right on the hill, there's one or two -large- pine? trees that have been struck by lightning, and simply incinerated.
I've always marveled that this inferno didn't burn the area, and every bit of Sublette, and can only conclude that it must have been a torrential downpour to stop the fire from spreading.
