I was surprised to see a rear-end helper on a passenger train! It looks like #489 pushed only to Lobato, run around on the siding, and then double-headed to Cumbres after #484 pulled the train across the trestle. Is that about right?
Of course we should never say 'never' when it comes to the Rio Grande Western – especially after the line was standard gauged
