IIRC, 2422 may be an unlucky number – wasn't it S.P. P5 Pacific #2422 which collided with the car driven by John Steinbeck's friend Ed 'Doc' Rickets in the Cannery Row area of Monterrey in the late forties, a collision that resulted in Ricket's death two or three days later?
