If I understand correctly based on fragmentary info there was a period when Goose Lake was running Lakeview to Alturas, Lake Railwasy was hauling the traffic from Alturas to Perez, and the UP handled it from Perez to KFalls. Why? Who could hope to make any money doing that. I wonder why UP is willing to still run as far as Perez, how much local business is left between Perez and KFalls. Guess I need to make another road trip. Great country to visit, wish there were more trains.

Miss the old Modoc.
