Russ--I don't know specific dates, etc and that's a while back. I have been very suspect of the greens the D&S comes up with as being off base, as in their Pullman green that to my eye is a "Hunter green." Pullman green, and I've ridden in standard gauge D&RGW passenger cars in Pullman Green (1952 Rocky Club trip around the standard gauge circle and I rode in a lounge car that had been on the Exposition Flyer if I recall correctly) plus in Pennsy cars going to the Army-Navy game about 1949 are more an Army Olive Drab. I do not have any photos of the 493 with the green jacket unless it shows up in that pile of junk the contractor left behind. Remember that many males are color blind or partially color blind, but few will admit to it. I seriously doubt that any paint from the D&RGW survived to the D&S, especially with the roundhouse fire, then the destruction of the old car shop and its modern replacement. Car and locomotive painting took place in Alamosa, not Durango. . Sorry I can't be of more help.
