The "maroon" was Tuscan Red with varnish, originally with black corner posts, later with the black trim painted tuscan like the rest of the body.
To Dark Olive Green (aka Pullman Color) in 1918
Durring the 1930s come passenger equipment was painted in MoW red (box car red) particularly cars used on CCC trains, but also maybe the Pagosa Springs combine/caboose
In the early 1950's the D&RGW painted some cars in yellow, originally for the Chicago Fair, then adopting it for the Silverton branch. Those cars sometimes worked their way east over Cumbres pass either on their way to Alamosa shop or in an excursion. Of course, the Silver Vista was aluminum.
