Hi Greg,
I was actually riding that 2013 charter behind 315 and 463. The operator would not let us motorcade to Cumbres and pick us up there. He forced us to ride. When we came out of the woods at Coxo, there must have been more than 100 chasers at the crossing, at "Roger's Rock" and on Windy Point with the Goose. Everyone but the Pope has photos of that moment.....except those of us who provided the funding for the train. From a bang-for-buck perspective, that charter, at $2,300/person still ranks as the most expensive/disappointing trip I've ever done. 4 days of completely clear weather. Zero sunrise shots. Zero sunset shots.
