"Timeless" I guess my interpretation is something that endures no matter the era it is viewed in. Like the Mona Lisa, an image that many (not me 
: ) have considered for centuries as the ultimate portrait. I think that what we attempt is more along the lines of period images and sub-conscientiously at least we hope they will be viewed as being taken in the era we try to replicate.
