At Cumbres, a good 6” of new snow was on the ground. We got off the train and enjoyed the heater in Russ’ car as we headed down to Coxo and caught 488 easing around Windy Point.
And over the road crossing ten minutes later.
One last view as 488 eases down the hill through the kink at MP 336. The fall colors were real spotty that year. As you can see in the second week of October we had trees that were barely turning – with snow on the ground.
