Southern 630 was the first Southern Steam Program loco I road behind.

Dad purchased tickets for us. We rode the in 4-5 coaches attached to the morning northbound passenger train out of Atlanta GA (being in the morning, I think it was the Piedmont but am not sure).

We were detached at Gainesville GA where 630 was waiting for us on a ferry move to Birmingham. 630 coupled on and we returned to "Big A". Fun trip.
