Regardless, those are some neat photos. Suggestion that I've had luck with: Scan at the highest resolution possible (mine's 9600 dpi) and save as a .tiff, not a .jpg. Then pull it into PS and work with it. I've managed to salvage some that way that were very thin negatives and grainy, which it looks like yours are suffering from as well.
