So I finally got it through my head where Boulder Gorge and Red Bridge are, took several days of being sick with the flu but this is what I came up with. First some Google images:
Street view looking West at the existing rocks which I figure were on the south side of Red Bridge:
Looking back South East at the same rock formation:
Looking South from a little bit farther up the road at what I think is the roadbed on the South side of the river, the red line is my ruler from MP 16, which fit, to MP 15 which I couldn't find:
Looking about West up the grade at Hwy 7 milepost 36, about SVRy milepost 15, California Gulch on the right:
So this overlay is my guess as to how things layed out:
I didn't scale anythjng, I just stretched them till they seemed to fit. What threw me for the longest time was how much they blasted the rocks to get the highway through and the big 'bump' in the river shown on the railroad maps. I can find no such feature in the canyon so just stuck it at California Gulch where it fit best! Any corrections would be greatly appreciated.
