Interesting. Perhaps the train we shot in the summer of 1966 was headed to Monero. We only chased it from Durango-Gato. As I recall the Farmington line was getting a lot of track work from a washout and no freights were running. So we settled for what we could get. I think I posted these before, but may not have shown these exact ones.
(1) 483 sits in Durango. 484 was actually the power for the train we chased.
(2) Along the track relocation between Arboles and Gato, blurred drivers shot(I had not optional shutter speeds???)
(3) Along the same road, with 484 and the whole train seen. Pacing along here was great fun.
(4) Looking down from the cliff just before the train arrived at Gato.
(5) At Gato taking water.
