It's good to know there is a clear D&RGW precedent for filling water towers from tank cars, so "Wacky Willie" and his "Wild Eyed Foamer" acquaintance (yore's trooly) aren't entirely crazy after all. (See [

Even if Johnny Coal and The Friends are successful in organizing a project to restore water service to Lava Tank from the Los Pinos river below, it will still take some time - possibly several years - to get this funded and completed. Meanwhile, hauling water to Lava from Sublette could provide greater flexibility to charters on the East End - and even some fine opportunities for Phraud-O-Graphs not possible since the early 1970's.
