D&RGW 1/1/1947 profiles claim 13 miles of cinder ballast(1938) starting at Alamosa with another 3 miles (1940) to take it just past La Jara. They also show 10.58 miles gravel ballest(1925) in spots between mp 302 and mp 340. Or from about 1/2 way between Big Horn & Sublette to somewhere West of Osier. Most of the Gravel seems to be between MP 302 and Rock Tunnel with some gaps near Sublette. West of the tunnel, two shorter isolated patches shown, one very short.
