I owe JBWX for another reminder, Dan -
The second and third photos on the 'Personal Favorites' page of John West's 'Rio Grande Memories' web site clearly show five frosty wires just south of Alamosa, and four wires at the yard limit sign southwest of Antonito. (See [
chasingtrains.smugmug.com] if you haven't already, Dan - LOTS of BEAUTIFUL photos from the early and mid-sixties there!)

p.s. I see JBWX has finally re-scanned the Antonito triptych, as they are much sharper and the color seems better than the so-so results I got from the fairly dark scans that Tom Gildersleeve sent me (with John's permission) more than ten years ago.
pps. It's also obvious that he re-cropped them as well, since my versions were carefully measured so that the telegraphone poles and the yard limit sign didn't "bounce" when moving from the road engine to the helper and then to the caboose
