Dan: Thank you for beating me to the answers (sic) to the original question. I was going to do the same but your answer has way more depth to it. Rule 87, simplified, handles this scenario in a neat and tidy way while a form A train Order would make both trains wait on each other. I use the "hard" meet order on my layout between both 315 & 316 at Cedar Creek. Rule 87 also has provisions if an inferior train cannot clear a superior train the inferior train must flag the superior train at once. Yes it does get complicated but there is a thread that leads from one rule to another. Paul.
