Hi,
Someone mentioned the CAF but now I can not find it.
About 1990, they had a B24 and a B29 on display at Peachtree-Dekalb Airport. I got word that they were ging to fly out on Monday after the show about 11AM. I took an early lunch and saw the two take off. Both started all four engines before taxiing. It was marvelous to see the two circle the field and then fly wing tip to wingtip at a low altitude along the runway before they headed out.
FWIW, I like the B25 best (my Dad flew one for KNIL out of Austrailia during WWII) and then the B17. For fighters, It is hard to choose between the P38 and the P51. I love the twin engine, boom and tail of the P38 but the P51 is quite elegent.
Sort of like my preferring the 478 since it pulled the only D&RGW train I rode on. All the other times I rode it was the D&SNG or the C&TS or the CRRM.
