Thanks for remembering Doc Lee, I first saw Doc right after they towed it out of China Lake NWS to Inyokern airport. Man, that old plane was in ROUGH SHAPE!. I had serious doubts it would ever get restored in that remote location. Thankfully Doc had friends who took him apart and trucked him to the place of his birth for a complete overhaul. Doc received his airworthiness certificate from the FAA about Memorial Day so it should be only a matter of months till another 29 takes to the sky.
