As the Director of the Nevada State Railroad Museum at Boulder City...
The engine is not currently on display, but will be eventually. It has been casually inspected, and is in surprisingly good condition. Its deed of gift requires it stay in southern Nevada.
As others have noted we have about 2,500' of narrow gauge track on which Dan operates Eureka every Christmas.
We are in the process of planning a new museum complex with larger and better display spaces. Included in that planning is our narrow gauge collection (E-N 12, and three wooden passenger car bodies) We have talked to Dan about displaying his combine as well.
There is a long history of narrow gauge railroads in Nevada, both in the south and the north.
If in the area, we do take people up to see the locomotive and cars if we have staff or volunteers available... calling ahead is a good idea.
