Very well said, Dan - Utah has the same problem. There are more pieces of Utah railroad equipment in Colorado and California than there are historically relevant pieces within Utah. Nobody in Utah is clamoring to have Orange Empire return the Salt Lake & Utah observation car, or their Bamberger bullet, or the Colorado Railroad Museum to return the Uintah equipment, etc.
I think Uintah #12 is in good hands where it is. It may not be operational, but it at least is being cared for.
