(Kind of combining things from several threads here, pictures of Whitney were reposted in the Missing Photos discussion by J. B. Bane).
Jim Grigsby posted a little bit of the layout at Whitney a while ago to it is all fitting together now. I am sure the logging companies had some kind of engine house for storing locomotives at night?
What about Larch/ Alder Springs? I don't think there was an engine house or turn table there but was there more than a siding and water tank?
Looks like I will have to freelance Baker a bit for my terminal. I have room for a two stall engine house and a turn table (both standard gauge or dual gauge) and a freight house for dual gauge transfer. I think I will make my 'creek' a little bigger and turn it into the Powder River. Kind of difficult to fit Bkaer into 3x14' in O scale
Why did the SVRy tracks cross the Powder River at the South Baker shops, here behind the engine house?

Or how about REALLY freelancing and extending the SVRy down to a dual gauge terminal at Burns or something?!? Where was the planned SVRy expansion supposed to go anyway?
J. B., your description of the line from the Sumpter Valley Maps discussion in 2014 was great, I formatted it into a document (with paragraphs) so I could follow it easier. That one post ended up three pages long!
