I'll go ahead and repeat what Michael said about the water treatment. I also believe the water tower is fed by a well and not through a connection to the city of Flint. Although, the Huck was basically getting water from the Flint River system, which the groundwater would flow into. The city was getting its water direct from the river and treating it. But it was either too acidic or basic which is what caused lead to leach from their pipes. Still no simple fix if the pipes continue to leach, but at least the 464 is safe.
