Big time apologies for taking so long to post these.... Fall colors season is the busy time for railroad photo charters and I had 3 such trips in about 4 weeks, so the back-log of photos to process was pretty deep.
On Saturday, October 3rd, the Friends ran an MOW Photo Charter out of Antonito with Locomotive 463, Pile Driver OB, Derrick OP and several other MOW cars. About 50 folks participated and in general, the weather cooperated nicely. Conductor Alan Loomis found us some very nice spots from which to photograph the train and Engineer Carlos Llamas and his Fireman put on a great show. On the following day, the Friends ran some demonstrations of the OB and OP in the yard at Antonito. Unfortunately, I had a flight to catch in ABQ, so I was only able to stay for the OB demo. Wish I could have stayed all day. It was fun to watch, but probably not as much fun as the Friends were having as they got to "play with the toys."
