That spot is about at Milepost 289, I think. Other folks on this board have called it "Gravity Hill", although I have not seen that title used elsewhere. Maybe someone else can comment on how the name came about. Anyway, the light there that day was a little funky. When I looked at my shots, the train looked properly exposed, but when I looked at the sagebrush at 100%, it looked really bright....too bright. Not blown out, but just strange. I ended up using the Lightroom adjustment brush to tone down the sagebrush just a bit. Hopefully, it looks OK. As you can see, a couple of us elected to climb the hill and shoot from up high. I have been there a few times before, and have found that for me at least, going high is the only way to get a (mostly) clear view of the railhead.
