Hey Tom,
I for one found your comments interesting and informative. But, there's no point in getting frustrated by the comments of the chronic naysayers. I've come to accept that the C&TS is populated by a number of individuals who have very little good to say about anyone else's ideas or opinions. It's like the old fable about the boy who cried wolf; now I ignore pretty much everything they say. If you gave them a million dollars, they're the kind who would complain that the serial numbers were not in consecutive order.
Go figure eh?
They are the main reason I would never contribute any of my money to the C&TS. I'll give my hard earned cash to the SVRy and others like it where the folks have a positive outlook and good things to say about each other.
That's probably why some railroads are more successful than others. It takes a lot more than locomotives and rolling stock to make a successful railroad; it takes positive spirit.
