If they kept this with the large water tank on the side, they may never ended up in Latin America.
When the two engines were on sale, White Pass officials went to Baker to inspect the engines. They were found too large (long) for the Skagway turntable and too light as helper engines. They idea was to use this engine as helper engines between Skagway and White Pass summit.
Later they were sold to the IRCA in Central America.
