As requested, attached is a view of H.J.Booth & Co. c/n 9 that was built as the Black Diamond RR #3 in 1868 and named "D.O. Mills". She had 14x18 cyl, 36" dia. driv., weighed 23 tons and was a standard gauge 0-6-0T. The photo shows her on the Bellingham Bay & British Columbia RR, where she was #1. The photo is from the late Fred Jukes and shows a very unusual"wrap-around" tank.
Previous published Black Diamond roster showing their #2 (Booth c/n 8-1868) going to BB&BC # may be in error, unless both Black Diamond #2 and #3 went to the BB&BC, which is possible as Black Diamond's (2nd) #3 0-6-0T (Baldwin c/n 2141-5/1870) ended up as BB&BC #2 and was rebuilt as 2-6-4T. Any more BB&BC photos out there?
