3405 now sits on display at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, Quainton Road, Quainton, UK. I doubt it will ever steam again being the wrong gauge for the track and out of structural gauge if 3'6" was laid on the standard gauge formation as its too wide (10' wide on narrow gauge). Incidentally I think you stated that South African 4-8-4's didn't have sanders - it does have front sanders but no rear - not designed to go backwards.
